Big Animal Fantasy
A creative workshop for elementary schools designed as a part of the off-programme of an interactive dance-movement piece that is just being created. Carnival of the Animals, a piece based on the suite of the same name by the French composer Camille Saint-Saëns, will be premiered at the Ponec theatre on October 2nd 2012. Big Animal Fantasy is a music, theatre and graphic workshop that invites children to look behind the scenes: it is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the principles and creative processes of movement theatre and dance. Children become members of the creative team, trying the job of a choreographer, of a dramaturge, a dancer and a composer. Together with the artists they will focus on the way individual animals move, on their different rhythms. Furthermore, they will enact the story of light – shadow – silence – sound – stillness and dance. Join us in the kingdom of animals and the world of Saint-Saëns' music and inspire the authors of the 'coming soon' piece!

Movement games for kids from 14 to 24 months and their parents
The usage of psychomotoric evolution knowledge for movement work with children given by lecturers Anna Caunerová and Andrea Opavská with musical accompaniment of Michal Turek. An open class based on the principles of the Body-Mind Centering technique (BMC) dedicated for the youngest children and their parents (1 child and 1 parent). BMC is a pedagogical and therapeutical approach based on the analysis of the relationship between motion, touch, the body and consciousness. The lesson aims at supporting the psychomotor development of each kid, while focusing on intensifying the parent-kid relationship, using touch, motion and goal-directed stimulation with toys. The atmosphere is easy-going: parents are not evaluated but supported in observing their kids. Parents are also encouraged to provide children with enough leeway to explore and discover and to actively participate in the games, which may include nursery rhymes or songs (live music).

A solo choreographed for children starting at age 3 that will delight all those who have stayed young at heart. A piece about the body and its possibilities and limits is inspired by first movements of a child, from crawling to first awkward steps and hopping. ZigZag is a playful saunter, choreographed by making use of all the resources of the imagination in order simply to forge ahead. Join us in playing and idle strolling around the landscape defined by an extraordinary animated film. Mobilise your imagination and intelligence and help the dancer find new ways of moving ahead. There are many surprises awaiting you in the magical space on stage.
